IGP Idris Sues Misau, Demands N5bn
A libel suit has been filed against Senator Isa Misau (APC-Bauchi Central) by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
The suit demands N5bn as compensation for alleged defamation of the IGP by the lawmaker.
This follows a suit instituted by the Attorney-General of the Federation, on behalf of the federal government, charging Misau for allegedly spreading “injurious falsehood” against the IGP and the Nigeria Police Force.
