Australia Beat Honduras To Book World Cup Spot
The Socceroos of Australia booked a fourth successive World Cup ticket on Wednesday after seeing off Honduras 3-1 in a playoff.
They had played a goalless draw in the first leg of the tie but a Mile Jedinak’s 53rd-minute free-kick broke the deadlock.
The Australian captain and Aston Villa man then grabbed two more goals to make his side the 31st team to seal their World Cup place.
