Five Killed In Kogi Auto Accident
Five persons have been killed in an accident along the Okene-Lokoja road in Kogi state, North-central Nigeria.
Three officials of the Kogi Vigilante Service lost their lives in the road crash that occurred on Wednesday.
Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Segun Martins, said the officials, identified as Tunji Ayorinde, Ajiboye Michael and Olumuyiwa Samuel, died on the spot.
The FRSC chief said in a statement that two others lost their lives in another auto crash on the same day, along the same axis.
According to him, a boy and a woman died when a truck crushed a commercial tricycle which was conveying them.
Those that sustained injuries were taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja, for treatment.
