Boboye Promises Improved Plateau After Enyimba Draw
Kennedy Boboye is confident champions Plateau United will improve in their subsequent games after sharing the spoils with Enyimba in their Super Six opener.
A late goal by Tosin Omoyele from the spot salvaged the draw for the Jos side in a 1-1 stalemate.
And speaking after the game, Boboye said there was no need to panic as he believes his would soon hit their stride.
“We are working hard to get the team in proper shape ahead of the new season and I have no doubt we will get there very soon,” he told Complete Sports.
“The whole essence of this competition and the other ones we have played earlier now is to prepare us for the new season. We know our level as a team and our objective as a team.
“The new players are blending very fast with the old players and soon the results will start coming.”
Other teams in the mini tournament are last season’s runners-up in the league, MFM; Federation Cup winners Akwa United, home-based Super Eagles, and hosts Kano Pillars.
