Chelsea Suffer Embarrassing Defeat At Home To Bournemouth
Second half goals from Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas and Nathan Ake ensured Bournemouth handed Chelsea a 3-0 embarrassing defeat at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Wilson opened the scoring on 51 minutes when he raced in behind the Chelsea back line and coolly slotted past a helpless Thibaut Courtois from close range.
Stanislas doubled the lead 13 minutes later, the former Burnley winger collecting a Wilson through ball and poking underneath Courtois near the six-yard-box.
And former Chelsea boy Ake capped the scoring three minutes after with a redirect of a shot from close range which left Courtois little chance.
The defeat means the defending champions are now fourth in the table, behind Liverpool on goal difference, and just two points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham, who recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United on the same evening.
