Spanish and European champions Real Madrid say Sergio Ramos will be out of action due to a broken nose.
The Spaniard got the fracture in his team’s barren draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Coach Zinedine Zidane told the club’s website he does not know how long his captain will be out.
“I think he’s got a fracture,” the Frenchman said. “He’s got a cut and I think it’s broken. I don’t know how long he’ll be out.”
The Galaticos face APOEL in a Uefa Champions League group game on Tuesday.
Madrid’s loss leaves them ten points behind League leaders, Barcelona. The Blaugrana cruised to a 3-0 win over Leganes on Saturday.
