Former Uruguayan forward Diego Forlan is excited ahead of the 2018 Fifa World Cup draw.
The former Atletico Madrid forward will be the draw assistant for the event which is billed for Friday in Russia.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Forlan, who played at the 2010 World Cup, told Fifa.com that he could not wait to know his country’s opponents.
“It’s true that I’ve been here before, well in Saint Petersburg,” Forlan said. “It was a great experience but this time I think it’s a bit different. It’s the big event. Everybody wants to know – the fans, the people want to know, where to book hotels and plane tickets. It’s nice to see, for Uruguay, the national teams that we will be playing against.
“We are in the draw, we’re happy to be in the World Cup,” Forlan responded, when asked who he would like La Celeste to face. “We are among the best, and we have to play against them.”
