Work On Eagles’ Weakness, Amun Charges Rohr
Fanny Amun has called on the Super Eagles coaching crew to adopt better tactical approach as the team prepares for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The former youth coach said working on the team’s weak points ahead of the soccer showpiece would guarantee a successful outing.
“Qualifying for the World Cup is a thing of happiness for everybody. Having gone so far to have qualified, I think we the coaches should know what was wrong with the team in spite of the qualification,” Amun said on Thursday.
“The coaches should now try and look inward, question themselves and assess themselves to see where the team went wrong. The Super Eagles have done well to have qualified amid doubts and uncomplimentary comments.”
He also said, “their qualification has made Nigerians to be focused on the World Cup.
“So, we should look forward to the draw. After the draw, we can now focus on the World Cup proper and ensure a better outing.
“The World Cup is not a place where we go and try. We don’t experiment at the World Cup. If the chances come, we grab it.”
