Yaya Toure Ends Int’l Retirement
Manchester City star Yaya Toure has ended his international retirement, according to his agent Dimitri Seluk.
The Ivorian last played for the team in September, 2016 but he has on Tuesday said he will be available for selection for the West Africans.
“Yaya @YayaToure has decided to return to Ivory Coast national team. He wants to win another trophy with the Elephants of Ivory Coast,” Seluk tweeted.
The 34-year-old has over 100 caps for the Elephants and was part of the side that won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
However, Seluk’s tweet suggests he has no imminent thoughts of retiring from football after Ivory Coast failed to qualify for next year’s World Cup.
